Dr. Berger-Reed earned her B.S. in Animal and Dairy Science at the University of Georgia in 2015. She then attended the University of Florida where she received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and a certificate in Business Management in 2019. After graduation, Dr. Berger-Reed completed a rotating internship here at Ocala Equine Hospital and is now part of our ambulatory team. She is also a Certified Veterinary Medical Manipulation Practitioner and Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist. While providing a full range of services, her professional interests focus on complimentary medicine including spinal manipulation therapy and acupuncture.
A rider since childhood, currently Dr. Berger-Reed competes in both hunters and jumpers. While at the University of Georgia she was captain of the varsity equestrian team and earned both National and SEC championship titles.
When not performing veterinary medicine Dr. Berger-Reed can usually be found doing something outdoors. Some of her favorite activities include riding her two horses Gladstone and Indigo, kayaking, rock climbing, and hiking with her dog Millie.
