Diagnostic Ultrasound
Dr. Garber is a 1988 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed an internship at New Bolton Center and a residency in equine medicine and surgery at the University of Florida. She completed board certification in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in 1993. She practiced in Wellington, Florida before coming to Ocala in 1998 and joining Ocala Equine Hospital as a consultant.
Dr. Garber developed a keen interest in diagnostic ultrasonography while working with Dr. Virginia Reef during veterinary school, and has since built a practice specializing in ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures. She has taught ultrasound wet labs for the AAEP and the FAEP. She also has an interest in the selection and purchase of racing prospects at public auction and spends time both in a veterinary capacity and in the evaluation process.
Her outside interests include photography, snow skiing, yoga, biking, kayaking and hiking.
